I never felt any connection with god, even as I was told everyday that he was watching over me. As a child, I would pray, read my bible, sing worship, but for me, I never felt any connection to the lord everyone was praising. I began believing that I was sinning too much so god wouldn't speak to me, maybe I was not devoted enough so he wouldn't healing my wounds." I would blame myself for my "shortcomings" because everyone else could hear and speak to him. Until I grew older, I didn't really realize the weight of what I was truly fearing. It's crazy cuz my pastor ended up using the donation money from the congregation for buying homes and yachts, so he was more corrupt than me.
