Hello! My Name is Alyssa! I am 24 years old, and I am the artist behind Lazy Space Curiosities!

I started this Plushie reworking business in June of 2020 as a hobby to get through the pandemic while I was working as a cashier. At first, it was just a coping mechanism for my stress, but what once was a simple craft, turned into something I could have never predicted. 

My mission as an artist is to not only make everyone smile, but to also make pieces that invoke thought and deeply connect with others. Everyone experiences life differently, so the thought that my art can make someone feel so seen and connected with, or that my work can brighten someone’s day with just a glance, I feel like I’m doing what I was destined. Each piece, whether it’s made from complicated feelings and emotions I am experiencing in the moment, or if its just cuz I thought making a rainbow clown frog would be fun, is 100% made with love and affection, definitely some with blood, sweat, and tears. Life is so cruel and overwhelming, so why not enjoy what you can? I love what I do, and I hope to keep creating until the day my life comes to an end, and until then I will definitely continue to make these companions. 💕
